Lessons

I have been teaching private lessons to oboe students since I was an undergraduate oboe student, and have worked with students from ages 11 to 75, from beginner to advanced, and everything in between.

​​My teaching philosophy focuses on the student as an individual, taking into account not only skill level but also personal goals and individual learning styles and needs. My ultimate goal for students is to provide them with the tools they need to succeed not only as professional musicians and educators, but also in any other path their life may take them. Not every student will end up having a career in music, but the skills they gain from their musical study can benefit them in any walk of life.
