TeachingI have been teaching private lessons to oboe students for over 15 years, and have worked with students from ages 11 to 75, from beginner to advanced, and everything in between.
I believe that every student has the potential to create and express themselves through music, and as an educator, my goal is to provide a supportive and engaging learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. As a music teacher, I believe that music education should be a collaborative and personalized process that respects individual differences and interests. Rather than subscribing to one strict school of oboe playing and pedagogy, I prefer to use a variety of teaching techniques that are methodical and approachable to create a unique course of study for every student. This student-centered approach that helps learners develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to become innovative and independent musicians. If you or one of your students is interested in oboe instruction, please contact me and I will be happy to discuss starting lessons with you. |
